In recent years, there has been an increasing number of children’s English books about Islam. Thanks to these authors, children of the ummah now have a wider range of quality books to choose from! Good books are a great help to parents and teachers who are teaching our future generation about the deen. For toddlers and preschoolers, one of the best ways to introduce anything is through a beautiful picture book! The bigger the better. Here I’ve compiled a list of picture books about Islam, written in English. I divided them into topics, so you can zoom in onto topics that interest you. The majority of these titles are most appropriate for 3- to 8-year-olds. Some are fiction, some are non-fiction, and others are a bit of both. Because yours truly is a bookaholic, we own/have read many of these books!

Thanks for sharing these. Are there any books on this list that you would recommend for 2-3 yrs old? Also, what are your thoughts on Mini Mumin books?
Dear Amber,
You’re welcome! I would recommend the following for 2- to 3-year-olds:
In terms of length, general format, and illustrations, these titles would appeal to toddlers more than the others listed.
It’s the first time I’m hearing of Mini Mumin books. I think I will go look them up now!
