For fans of the Arabic Alphabet Mazes series, I have new mazes for you – with (Eastern) Arabic numerals this time. You can get the FREE download of the mazes for ١ to ١٠ at the end of this post, in sha Allah.

These mazes are designed for preschoolers who are developing recognition of Eastern Arabic numerals from ١ to ١٠. By following the focus numeral through the maze, their visual recognition of the numeral is increased via repetition. They also learn to differentiate between numerals that have similar forms, e.g. ٢ and ٦.

You can have the child use Do-A-Dot markers, small round magnets, stickers, pom poms, dry-erase markers, crayons (by colouring in each box), or even just a good old pencil. I recommend slipping the printouts into transparent sheet protectors or laminating them, so your child can do the mazes over and over again, which would certainly help in developing recognition!
